In Honor and Rememberance of Scott T. Saroff, CPG, PG, CHMM

(1955-2020)

Scott Saroff, our dear friend and colleague, created Pine Bluff as an independent consultancy to be comprised of selected senior environmental, health, safety and engineering professionals with decades of experience assisting clients across the globe.  Scott’s goal was to fill a need in the marketplace for clients looking to work with experienced technical professionals that also understood the convergence with drivers that influence overall business strategy, company liability and executive decisions. To fulfill his vision, Scott reached out to colleagues he knew well from his consulting career to assemble this core group to provide the high-value technical problem-solving and business advisory services needed by clients today.

Scott was a graduate of SUNY-ESF and Syracuse University and was a nationally-recognized hydrogeologist in subsurface contaminant investigation, transport and remediation.  Over his illustrious environmental career Scott worked for the NYS Attorney General’s office, the USEPA, and held senior and executive positions at several national environmental consulting firms including Roy F. Weston, Blasland, Bouck & Lee where he was a partner, ENSR and Earth Tech.  Most recently Scott was an adjunct professor at SUNY-ESF and a Senior Project Director at FPM Remediations of Oneida, NY.

Scott will forever be remembered for his love of science and the environment to make the world a better and cleaner place to live. Scott’s driving objective was to assemble this senior group who could not only be of service to others solving complex problems but also enjoying doing so.  Those of us who have been priviledged to be invited by Scott to join this unique group are honored on his behalf to provide our services and skills to those in need.

Although Scott is no longer with us, we have pledged to fulfill his dream and by serving others we hope to sustain his memory as our friend and to secure his legacy as a consummate environmental professional. He is truly missed.
